OGLE COUNTY GOP CHAIR BACKS CHESNEY

Freeport—Ogle County Republican Party Central Committee Chair Stacy Flanagan is backing Andrew Chesney for State Representative in the 89th Illinois House District. Flanagan has chaired the party organization for the last 8 years and has served as a precinct committeeman for 28 years.

“I was born and raised in Ogle County and I am a lifelong Republican. I have worked with Andrew Chesney in his capacity as Chairman of the Stephenson County Republican Party and I have been impressed with his determination and steadfastness. His leadership as a County party Chair is needed in Springfield,” said Stacy Flanagan.

“The 89th District is made up of conservative Republicans who believe in less government, less debt and less regulation. Andrew Chesney believes all of those things and I believe he will make us proud by following through on all of the commitments he makes. Too often we send politicians to Springfield and then we wonder what happened to them. I know that Andrew is someone we can count on to provide the leadership we sorely need,” said Flanagan.

“It is great to have a colleague like Stacy Flanagan. We are kindred spirits in our desire to advance Republican principles on every level of government. She too is a fellow believer in those principles that we feel will carry us through the hard times that Illinois is facing. We need to stand our ground now and it is an honor to have Stacy at my side,” said Andrew Chesney.

Chesney announced his candidacy for the 89th Illinois House district seat in September following the announcement that current State Representative Brian Stewart (R-Freeport) would be seeking election to the Illinois State Senate upon the retirement next year of current State Senator Tim Bivins (R-Dixon). 

A native of Shannon, Illinois, Chesney is the current alderman at large in the city of Freeport and a division sales manager for Seaga Manufacturing in Freeport.  He is also the current chairman of the Stephenson County Republican Central Committee.  He and his wife Kelly live in Freeport. 

The 89th Illinois House District is made up of parts of Carroll, Jo Daviess, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago Counties.
