STATE SENATE CANDIDATE CHESNEY ENDORSED BY SENATE REPUBLICAN LEADER

Freeport: State Representative Andrew Chesney today announced the endorsement of Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie in his bid for the Illinois State Senate in the 45th District. Chesney has represented northwest Illinois in the Illinois House since 2018 and launched his campaign for Senate after State Senator Brian Stewart declined to run for re-election. Stewart has since endorsed Chesney.

“Andrew Chesney is a proven advocate for the people of Northwest Illinois and I am proud to endorse him in his bid for the Illinois State Senate. I have no doubt that Andrew will continue to represent the constituents of his region with the same conservative values he has proudly shown in the Illinois House of Representatives over the past three years.

“Illinois is a great state with so much potential, but the failed policies by the Democrat Majority in the legislature have forced people to leave in droves. Andrew will bring the core principles needed to turn our state around and once again allow families to prosper and thrive. The Senate Republican Caucus needs more leaders like Andrew to accomplish that goal,” McConchie said.

“I am honored to receive the support of Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie. I am in this fight because I believe I can make a difference and I can help change the trajectory of Illinois politics and policymaking. We have a lot of work to do and I am up for the challenge,” said Andrew Chesney.

Andrew Chesney and his wife Kelly reside in Freeport. He is an honors graduate of Arizona State University. He has built a career in real estate and for over a decade played a primary role in his family-owned manufacturing business.
