Stimulating Growth through Meaningful Tax Reform

I have been a member of the General Assembly since 2018 and have NEVER voted in favor of increasing taxes.

It is common knowledge that over-taxing residents leads to migration out of the state. Illinois is a prime example of this, with high outmigration numbers each year. When a state’s population decreases, the remaining residents bear an increasingly disproportionate tax burden. Eventually, many individuals decide to leave the state. This cycle is neither safe nor sustainable.

The best way forward is to implement targeted spending freezes and tax reform.
